Spiritual Tarot & Guidance ~ A Hidden Gift

Spiritual Tarot & Guidance ~ A Hidden Gift. 22nd-28th august 2021. Cards: Temperance, Justice, Knight of Cups, A Hidden Gift.

Spiritual Tarot & Guidance ~ A Hidden Gift

Hi everyone ~ this reading is for the 22nd ~ 28th August 2021, but I trust as always that whenever it finds you that the Spiritual & Angelic realms will have a message for you in this reading that also applies at that time.

The theme behind the message from the spiritual and angelic realms for this week I feel is to reinforce the message of last weeks reading which was the need to trust ourselves and our intuition more, listening and trusting more the inner voice that tries to guide us, the gut feeling we get when something just doesn’t feel right. (If you didn’t get the opportunity to read last weeks reading you can find it here: https://medium2spirit.blog/2021/08/13/spiritual-tarot-guidance-shine-your-light/

I say this because our first card drawn this week come from the Gaia Oracle Deck and it is card the card A Hidden Gift. Through this card I feel that the spiritual and angelic realms are acknowledging the pain of loss and sadness that so many of us are going through at present which is worldwide and far more prevalent than we would normally be expected to deal with.

They bring with it a message that is both difficult to give, to hear and accept. The message is that when we lose someone or something that we love and are deeply attached to, it also brings with is not just the feeling of loss but also the fear of change. It is a part of our human nature to fear the change and sadness that accompanies the loss of something or someone we loved so much.

The message they bring to us is that with with loss and change comes an ending and therefore a new beginning. Nothing is ever truly lost, it simply transforms into something new, just as we leave our earthly body when it is our time to leave this world and start a bright new beginning as we return to our true home, The Spirit World. That is a part of the “Hidden Gift”, that with every ending there is always a new beginning and that the love and memories will live forever in our heart.

Our next card (Justice) also reminds us of the natural laws of Balance, Truth, Karma, Wisdom and Accountability. It can also as you may know speak of the need to deal with the legal system in some way. So please be careful and pay extra attention when dealing with legal matters!

I feel the message that the spiritual and angelic realms wish to draw us to through the card of Justice is our need to learn from all of our past experiences both good and bad and use them for our own personal growth. They are encouraging to us take a along look at ourselves and try to free ourselves from any negativity that could be causing an imbalance in our life.( the scales of Justice).

I feel this why they have also given us the card of Temperance. This is also a card of finding balance, the ability to take the middle path as we walk our own pathway, of finding a balance between right and wrong, and the ability of being able to make the right decision however difficult it may be, rather than choosing taking the easy way out.

Our final message from the spiritual and angel realms comes to us through the Knight of Cups. The most well used meaning of the Knight of Cups if you are someone looking for love is that he can signify someone new entering your life. However although he is a classic romantic and passionate soul, he can also signify someone who is in love with the idea of being in love! This could be you or them so tread very carefully!

I feel the message the spiritual and angelic realms wish to draw our attention to more is the other qualities that he possesses. He wears his heart on his sleeve, he’s honest and passionate in his thoughts and words. He is intuitive and has no problems in speaking up about the things he is passionate about, and has no problem expressing his emotions.

The card that signifies the overall energy for this reading is “A Hidden Gift”. The message from the spirit and angelic realms throughout this reading is their way of letting us know that the “Hidden Gift/s” applies to all of us, and is within all of us.

We all possess the qualities, gifts and abilities represented by the cards used in this reading within us. The spiritual and angelic realms are asking us to recognise this, to dig deep within ourselves and to both find and use our own Hidden Gifts.

Until next time… Please take care and stay safe.

Give Out What You Most Want to Get Back

give out what you most want backMost of you have probably heard of Karma, which basically means that what you give out, at some point you will get the same back. This being said, you need to give some attention to what you are giving out in terms of thoughts, words, feelings, and actions. It is a universal law that you reap what you sow and for this reason you are a reflection of your predominant thoughts, beliefs, words, and actions.

You are what you think and you get what you think about. How about giving out what you most want to get back? Do you want more love? Give out an abundance of love. Do you want more people to care about you? Spend more time showing people that you care. Like attracts like. Whatever you want in your life put your focus on that and you will get more of the same.

You Can Have What You Want

I want you to know without a shadow of a doubt that you really can have what you want in life. Your desires can come true if they are realistic and you understand the principals involved in getting the things you want. The manifestation of your desires is not magic; it is based upon a number of principles.

First, instead of focusing on what you DON’T have or how terrible your life is now, I want you to focus all of your attention on what you DO want. Want more success? Love? Money? Health? Friends? Toys?  Write it all down and spend time thinking about these things. Then I want you to think about how you can send out positive vibes concerning the things on your list. Do you want more money flowing into your life? Maintain a prosperity consciousness and at the same time, be sure that you sow into other people’s lives that are in need.

Do you want more success in your career? Take some time to mentor someone else looking to climb the ladder to success. Trying to meet a loving partner? Be loving toward everyone you meet. Entertain thoughts of love and compassion. Focus and put your attention on your desires.

Believe + Receive

Once you are focusing your attention on the things that you want and have made it clear to the universe, believe that you will certainly receive your desires. Maintain a state of gratitude and expectancy. Be on the lookout for the manifestation of your desires. Maybe you will get that promotion today or your loving partner will bump into you at the gym. It is important to first believe and then you will receive.

It Is Not All About You

It is wonderful to have desires and I resonate with joy when people receive them, but it is not all about you. Understand that as you give out and sow into others, they are receiving some sort of value as well.  When you give $50 to the youth group mission team, you are adding value to other people’s lives and you will certainly receive good back because of this. It really is a win-win situation.

Mother Teresa was probably one of the most self-less women in history and her love and compassion served in two ways. One, those that she cared for and loved unconditionally received an incredible blessing and two, the love and gratitude she received from those she served blessed her socks off. She gave out what she most wanted to get: unconditional love. She understood spiritual principles and lived a beautiful life of service.

What is it that you most want to get back in life?  I want you to think about this for a few minutes and jot down what comes to mind. Then I want you to think about how you can give out those exact things you want and DO IT. I want you to change the way you think about your desires and believe that you can have what you want. Send out positive thoughts like a boomerang into the universe and watch the positive things that boomerang attracts before it comes back to you. Shoot for the stars!

Life Experiences – Choice – Karma – Unconditional Love – Part 4

Karma is not about punishment; it is about energy. Remember, every thought, word, and action consists of energy. You activate this energy. Think of Newton's third law of energy: For every action there is an equal reaction.

Life Experiences – Choice – Karma – Unconditional Love – Part 4

There is always a reaction to any action; nothing goes unnoticed. Many would call this balancing of energy “karma.” Colloquially, it might be expressed as, “what goes around, comes around.” The golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” is another expression of this action-reaction concept. Another way to describe this law of the universe is, as Elizabeth Haich writes in her book, Initiations: “When we strike our hand against a wall, the wall strikes back without intending to! It is not the wall, which really strikes back, but our own blow bounces back. In any case, whatever we hit always gives back the same blow we gave it.”

Karma is not about punishment; it is about energy. Remember, every thought, word, and action consists of energy. You activate this energy. Think of Newton’s third law of energy: For every action there is an equal reaction.

If you think, speak, and act negatively, this same energy will come back to you. The same holds true if you think, speak, or act positively out of love. The more you create a positive, loving state of energy, the more you will experience this in return.

Karma is a field of energy. It surrounds individuals and seeks balance. People who see energy or auras know that energy, generated from within the body, is evident around the person and extends into the aural field.

During the process of one of my soul retrieval journeys, I came across something that appeared as a dark, looming cloud of energy surrounding my client. I asked my spirit helpers about this energy, and they informed me that it was karma, which had accumulated around this particular person. I shuddered because it looked awful and had the feel of anger and hatred.

I immediately thought that we needed to leave this negative energy alone. I believed that others’ karma should not be interfered with because it was part of their destiny. (I had always heard that karma, as described in books and by other people, was something a person was stuck with and had to live out.) My spirit helpers said to me, “Jan, are you here to follow your human rules, or are you here to do a healing?”

I was dumbfounded. Never did I expect a comment like that from my spirit helpers. I realize now that this journey was an important turning point in my learning. The spirits used this journey to help me understand that “punishment” is a human concept. The spirits never inflict punishment; they love all beings unconditionally. My spirit helpers taught me repeatedly that all karma is healed through love, as love instantaneously heals and balances all energies.

Loving yourself and loving others will create change in the most adverse situations. Remember, there is no experience that is less or more important than another; there is no lifetime better or worse than another. Each life circumstance comes with its own set of challenges and experiences, and all are part of the exquisite whole.

Karma is not hung on you like a scarlet letter; however, you do build an energy around you. This energy accumulates and is always in motion, as it tries to maintain balance with other energies. Sometimes this balancing is quick; sometimes it will take years; sometimes it flows into other lifetimes, but it will balance. If ever you question why certain things are happening to you, take some time to look at what you are doing and thinking.

You can change your life by changing your thoughts, your words, and your actions. At any time, you may choose the path of enlightenment. All negative life situations, all fear, can be balanced and reversed through love. You can choose to open the heart, forgive, let go, and be happy. No matter what your past, love heals. Even in situations where you find no reasonable explanation for why things happen the way they do, your life can change.

We are not stuck with disastrous lives or having to live out a particular karma if we choose to change our thinking away from fear and judgments. So much of our thinking keeps unfortunate things in motion. If you are experiencing, or have experienced, many struggles and hardships in your lifetime, you can be assured you are not being punished or held in an unmerciful way by some judgmental God. You can also be assured that there is a bigger picture being played out with your life than that represented by current circumstances. There is a divine plan designed uniquely for you that is based in unconditional love.

Judgments prevent you from seeing life from a holistic view, and they keep you caught in your pain. The same holds true for unforgiveness. The failure to forgive imposes chains on the heart of the unforgiving. Forgiving is always for self. It clears the energy field instantaneously. Try it. You will see what I mean. When one forgives another, there is a physical, emotional, and spiritual freedom for both the giver and receiver. Forgiveness, like love, heals two souls at once.

So let me recap. The soul is vast, it is immortal, and it adheres to no timeline. Each lifetime could be represented like an individual word on a page of an enormously long novel. Life creates the story, filled with romance and loneliness, gain and loss, terror and glee, destruction and creativity, betrayal and glory, wealth and poverty, royalty and destitution. All facets of life are experienced wholly, and each lifetime is valuable. Everything necessary to create wholeness for your soul is present. Each lifetime follows the laws of the universe creating, co-creating, accumulating, being.

Karma demystified… sort of!

Karma. It’s a term that gets thrown around a lot these days and many of us have a good idea about what it is…or do we?

‘Karma’ is a Sanskrit word with several layers of translation- some being  ‘wheel’, ‘balance’ and ‘debt’. The Hindu faithful use the word Karma to denote  both shallow and deep aspects of an individual soul’s journey from this life  into the next based on spiritual debt and  needed experiences. Karma is the ‘baggage’ we have as spirit souls- it is both  what we are here in this life to deal  with and what we take with us to the next. Whatever Karma you have right now  defines where you’ve been- and the Karma you have when you die defines where  you’re headed.

Let’s clear up from the get go that ‘good Karma’ is not good at all. Having  ‘good Karma’ will require a soul to take rebirth in order to burn it off. If we  want complete transcendence- zero Karma is the way to go! Good Karma and good  living are two different things. We annihilate bad Karma by being good (charity,  selfless service, prayer, etc.), and gain bad karma by being naughty (hate,  violence, anger, envy, malice, lies, etc.).

Let’s look at this another way…

Let’s say someone is born into a socialite family- wants for nothing, gets a  great education, has excellent health, general good luck, etc. We can assume  (although not absolutely define for certain) that in a past life, this person  did compassionate and selfless works that led them to a positive/good Karmic  load in this life. If all of this goes to their head- the good turns sour and  next time around they get just about the opposite to learn and KNOW the  lessons.

Now, if we look at someone who experiences about the opposite in life-  poverty, ill health, bad luck; we can safely assume that in a past life they may  have abused abundance, cosmic laws or their own life journey. It happens and  we’re ALL guilty of acting against our bigger nature. How do I know that?  because we’re all here!

Sometimes Karma can seem like such a harsh judgment! Who decides when our  actions are negative or positive? Who hands out the ruling and defines how our  next lifetime will roll so that we learn and experience all that we need to  rectify toxic behaviors/beliefs and get closer to truth?

We  do!

All of our soul baggage is like a colored filter, and our soul is  like a bright light. What we project- we attract. If we have acted against the  self in a past life- or last week for that matter, a filter is created over the  light of the soul and as the light shines through it- circumstances resonant  with that behavior come our way… in a big way. We shine forth on a subtle  spiritual level exactly who we are- and the cosmos responds to that light.

If we are impatient- we shine impatience on the subtle level and thus attract  situations that will challenge and thus heal our impatience. You know, you only  get stuck in traffic when you are an impatient person! Once you master patience-  there’s no need to be stuck in traffic so it doesn’t happen anymore.

The goal of understanding Karma, or spiritual debt as I call it outside the  Hindu specifics of the term- is so we can understand the why’s and how’s of  life.

Nothing is chance- everything, and I mean EVERYTHING we experience comes to  us for the sole purpose of enlightening, healing and empowering us. That’s every  blissful love affair, every stubbed toe,  every short paycheck and every blessing we receive. Spiritual debt is a sort of  barometer about our journey and helps us understand the bigger picture. If we  are constantly attracting a similar situation- it’s a big clue we need to look  into that and figure out what’s up so we can be more attentive to receiving the  healing opportunities coming our way. If something comes over and over again-  it’s because we’re not getting it. Time to take inventory, get straight in the  heart and open up to be guided down the sometimes hard healing path that always leads to bliss beyond imagination.  Recurring issues are also a great time to contact your psychic spiritual adviser  for another view into the journey.

In Egyptian mythology- at death, the  heart of the deceased is weighed on a scale opposite an ostrich feather. If the  heart weighs more than the feather, it gets eaten by a big scary monster. If it  weighs less- it goes to paradise. What’s being said here? Heaven is a place of  NO BAGGAGE! The heart that weighs less than a feather is the heart with no  baggage and no attachment to false things. This is a heart who has lived life in  accords with cosmic law and personal journey and who has walked out of life with  no deep obsessions/addictions to material things, and no sins of the self  weighing on them. It’s a heart light enough to float to the unseen above!

In my revelation, I have experienced that at death- the only judgment is  between the soul and a mirror. In the soul-state that exists when we are not  attached to the psychical body and the material world- great clarity and wisdom  is present. WE define how we could have done better, how we might have avoided  lessons or healing that tried and tried to manifest in our lives, how we did  good, etc. We decide what’s needed- and in that space it’s always the truth  because it’s OUR truth.

This view differs from many western beliefs as well  as the beliefs of many Hindu sects who house the term ‘Karma’, but coming to  this realization we are forced to take total accountability for our spiritual  actions and our path. The ‘Blame God’ game comes to a quick end and nothing  could be better for a soul!

Each of us is walking our own wheel of life- experiencing different things to  help us know it all. Exploring who we are, who everyone else is and who the  Divine is. Learning by doing, loving by experiencing, respecting by seeing and  knowing by being. Simply following the intuitive cosmic laws that are inscribed  in each of our hearts will ensure that we walk the spiral journey with right  action and progress in our great path of healing and bliss.

Thought for the day ~ Universal Law

Yin Yang“Every thought we have, action we take, decision we make affects someone, somehow, somewhere in some way…. Its Universal Law… Its Karma…we can’t run, we can’t hide”.

The Law of Karma.

The law of Karma is a fundamental spiritual law in eastern spiritual teachings.  Most people would have heard of the term Karma. Karma basically stands for action, and also the fruits of action. In other words, it stands for both cause and effect. The basic idea of karma is that of personal responsibility for one’s actions – that we are creators of our life. Whatever is currently manifesting in our life has been created by us, with or without awareness, by our past actions. Thus the law of karma basically says that man is the product of his past. Righteous actions bring  favorable results, and unrighteous actions bring unfavorable results. Karma can be done with our mind – manifesting as emotions, with our intellect manifesting as thoughts and through our body manifesting as actions/words.

Karma is often misunderstood to only mean the  law of destiny. When something unfavorable happens, people say with “It’s only karma”, meaning we are powerless to do anything about it.  Some others condemn the law as being overly pessimistic, as it seems to say that many things are predestined thanks to our past, of which we have no control over. It is true that man’s present is the consequence of the past, and in this sense, the present has been destined by past actions. However karma goes beyond destiny. Although there is a price to pay for past actions, man also has been blessed with the capacity to choose his actions. The past actions creates in him a tendency by which he will act. However by being aware of those tendencies, he can consciously choose how to act in the present, and thereby begin to change his karma. Thus the future is a continuation of the past, unless modified by the present, with self-effort.

Although we enjoy freedom to choose our actions, our present actions are mixed with the tendencies that are created by our past. Greater the tendencies, harder it is to change our actions. This is why people find self-improvement difficult. Knowing what to do and being able to do it are two different things, as change involves fighting our tendencies that we ourselves created by our past actions. Thus looking back at the past, man is the product of it. Looking into the future, man is the creator of it. Looking into the present moment, he is both a product as well as a creator. In unawareness, he becomes more of a victim, and in awareness, he becomes more of a creator.

One may wonder how all our actions are kept track of and bear the fruits of pleasure and pain. Is there some God that keeps track of all this? It can seem very mystical at first. In reality, it is very much scientifically explained. Each time a person does an action with a sense of doer-ship (ego), impressions are created in his mind. Every  impression is a karma. Stronger the impression, more likely it is to manifest.  All habits are nothing but karmas. Whether it is a good or habit, the person keeps doing it without having to put too much effort. All addictions are nothing but very strong mental impressions, and thus part of the person’s karma. A person who has an addiction has a pattern of behavior that he is very likely to repeat, that is not easy to change.

Karma is classified into the following three types:

1) Sanchita karma:

This is the total of our karmas. The set of arrows that an archer carries on his quiver is an example of sanchita karma. This is the sum total of karmic possibilities that are currently unmanifest. Since this is unmanifest, we have the option to burn these karmas by right action. All spiritual practices such as meditation, being in devotion/prayer, doing self-less service burns sanchita karma. In the above example of the archer, it is making sure the archer drops the arrows on the ground so he no longer has the possibility of firing them.

2) Prarabdha Karma:

Karma that is currently bearing fruit is called prarabdha karma. In the example of the archer, the arrow that the archer has already shot is his prarabdha karma. The archer has already done the action, and he has to face the consequences of them, good or bad. Practically speaking, the life that we are experiencing in the present moment is our prarabdha. This includes the type of body we have, the environment around us, the type of people we are with etc. Prarabdha karma is thus that portion of our karma that may be called destiny.

A common question people ask is “Why do bad things happen to good people”? Prarabdha karma is the answer. A person may be good today, but he is paying a karmic debt for his past actions. Another question that lead to doubt/reject the law is “How come some people who perform bad deeds seem to have a good time:?” Again the answer is prarabdha karma. The person who is doing the bad deeds is currently experiencing the fruits of past deeds, which was good. Eventually he will have to pay the price for the actions done today as well. The effect of karma spans multiple life-times, and thus the law seems to be not working only because we are limiting our observation to a very short time period.

3) Agami Karma:

This is future karma – actions that we are likely to do in future.  In the example of the archer, this is the arrow which the archer is about to shoot. Mental impressions that are very strong form agami karma. If a person drinks alcohol regularly, this is his agami karma. It is very likely that he would drink today, given that he has acquired that strong tendency by regularly drinking.

The three practical takeaways are:

  1. Prarabdha karma, in other words destiny, makes man a victim of his past. There is nothing a person can do about consequences from his past – he has to endure them. If he endures them without reacting to them, then he does not accumuate further karma.
  2. At the same time, the law of karma encourages that man can change his future by present actions. With self-effort, man can burn off his sanchita and agami karma, while still enduring his pradabdha karma. With consistent effort, man become more of a master of his own destiny, and less a victim of the past.
  3. Finally,  lest man not be discouraged by the lack of results from his effort in the short term, the law of karma explains that the lack of results could be due to an opposing force – his own prarabdha karma, which determines the level of effort required to bring about positive change in his life.
